Students learn the basic, intermediate clay making techniques such as pinching, solid forming and hollowing, slab & tiles making, coiling as well as decorating techniques using glazes, oxides etc. Each student is to conceptualize their own individual form/ shape which is different from one another. We will undertake bisque firing and glaze firing using our in-house ceramic firing facilities. Material will be provided.

By using non-toxic and air-dry Imported Paper Clay, students are taught to model interesting figuring, miniature sculptures etc.
This programme suits the audience who only wants to learn basic hand modeling within a short time.
We will provide all necessary material and tools.

Itinerary includes visit to Dragon Kiln, guided by artist guides, AV show, ceramic artists' pot throwing demonstration. Audience will get the chance to try the pottery wheel "spinning" for experience. Basic knowledge of clay working, types of ceramic firing methods, history of dragon kiln will be presented with hand-out.
